Temp. h60 setup walkthrough

I'm a bit newer here but trying to expand my knowledge and earn a bit of a rep here at Overclock.net so I thought I'd post some pics of my temporary h60 installation.

A few pics pre-H60:

Wire management, Not the best but seen much worse also wink.gif

Back plate and block install is just as simple as any aftermarket screw in cpu air cooler. position back plate according to socket, screw in standoffs, apply timm if not using pre-applied, place block onto cpu and screw it down with provided screws. The only thing I was disappointed in was that I figured the H60 would have the rotary/swivel adapters like the H70 for easier mounting but it doesn't. The hoses are still quite stiff and don't leave many different mounting orientations available.

For anyone looking to install one of these in a Antec Twelve Hundred, you will have to remove both rear fans and either do some modding or install it in the lower slot.. which for me blocked the x1 slot for my sound card. The only way you will be able to use the top slot is with a slightly thinner fan than the rad fan and angle it into the top slot.

This was just a temp setup as my rasa kit will be here this Saturday. But if I helped or informed 1 person then it was worth the time.

Edit. For anyone who debates on getting one of these. My temps went from 33c-36c idle / 50-60c load with the zalman 11x to now 26c-33c idle / never hit 50c yet avg. 47c 100% load on prime95

Its relatively new. I have an H60 as well. Not a great pic - replaced the stock fan with AP-15 in push/pull.

I am unsure exactly what he used. But from his pictures I can't see any type of ""shroud"" I guess however it really don't matter as I'll be setting up the rasa rx240 soon. But maybe his method might come in handy mounting the 240 rad to the 2 rear fan slots on my 1200.. Hmm wish he gave a bit more details on how he did it.
