1/4" vs 3/8" tubbing

Thread Starter
im building a custom liquid cooling kit and i was wondering if i should go for 1/4 (thinner) or 3/8 (Thicker) tubbing since some poeple say 3/8 will pump out more but the 1/4 will have better water flow....

Yes, 3/8" allows for more flow and is a far more common size of tubing.

Tubing size doesn't make much of a difference. Whatever you like.

3/8 is probably the easiest size to find bits for.

1/4" is a pain to fill and bleed and doesn't bend well.

There are a couple great articles online that helped me make the same decision.

First one explains tubing in great detail.

Check out this post for brand comparisons

(short answer)

3/8" is definitely better for higher flow.
