I'm sick of eyefinity... - Page 2

HA. This exact same thing happened to me. I got tired of the band-aid fixes for little things and just went with my current monitor setup.

Tbh isn't this a compromise you agreed on BEFORE going eyefinity?

You were well aware of what would happen, and you did it anyways.
That is not something to blame ATI for.

...Unless you weren't aware of what was going to happen. In which case you just have money to spend.

I'm also figuring out the headaches with three monitors. But they have their use as I typically have multiple windows/programs opened at the same time. I'm looking to upgrade to a triple amd setup w/ 2gb (each core) and hopefully that maybe enough to play some games in medium to high quality w/out crashing.

Good luck op, I've already committed so I'm chugging away.
Wow, I'm speechless because most of us with one monitor think Eyefinity would be an awesome gaming setup but don't know any better.

Is Eyefinity in 3D gaming and 3D movies any better or does it have the same effect as 2D with issues?

If I'm on one 23" 120Hz monitor wouldn't it be better with 3 monitors in 3D?

You'd think that AMD would have ironed out or given attention to these issues since Eyefinity is their niche' for their cards?

I've had eyefinity for a few months and I still love it! Every game I play uses it with out any major fixes. Wow, crysis2, batman ark, and L4d2.

As I've said before, I would rather have one big monitor with a lower resolution that I can just push out anti-aliasing and get a gaming experience that still looks great, has a huge display, and doesn't have big black lines going down my screen from the unavoidable bezels.

I've played with multiple-monitor set-ups before, and people told me just to get used to the bezels but I just can't do it. I love the hell out of my 40" Samsung TV that sits right on my desk, gaming is amazing on this thing.

Every game works great except for bullet storm , never got around to fixing it ..

I also have my pc connected to a 42" 1080p lcd aswel as the 3 screens , i just unplug the hdmi cable from my tv and it goes back to eyefinity it is awsome , some enjoy it more than others .

I never played with an Eyefinity setup, but I'd imagine that the annoyances that come with this new tech will be evident in the first years. Plus, some people will never get used to the bezels, no matter how small they get to make them (unless they manage some almost seamless design).

Despite those problems there is one thing it is praised for: working environments. Chris Angelini over at Tom's Hardware is always praising that he uses three monitors while working and can't look back now.

On the other hand, I have to say that playing on my Media Center connected to a 42 inch LCD TV does bring a lot of immersion like another poster said.

If you want, you'll probably be able to sell two of those monitors, add a bit more money and buy a decent 42 inch LCD.

Is it just eyefinity that has these problems? I have surround and I haven't come accross a single game that doesn't work strait away, including:
Crysis 1/Warhead/2,
Metro 2033,
BF:BC,
HAWX,
Portal 1 & 2,
HL2 incl Ep1 & Ep2,
F1 2010 and
Totalwar: Napoleon.
