Sounds like one or both of your cards may be dying. Your temps are fine and you're getting driver crashes across multiple drivers so it's most likely a hardware problem.

I am suspecting this problem might have something to do with this:-
http://www.overclock.net/nvidia/1020...-problems.html

Would you describe in more details how you are powering the two 9800GTX+ with your PSU?

my power supply has 2 PCI-E connectors. it has 4, 20amp rails. 72 rw amps. i plugged pci-e 6 pin number 1 (from the psu) into the closest 6pin twords the back of the case, to the top 9800GTX+

i then took the second PCI-E (from the psu) and did the same for the bottom 9800GTX+. i took two, 4 pin molex to pcie adapters, found a molex rail, with a set of 3 connectors, and plugged one pcie adapter into 2 of the 3 molex connections on a single rail. i then took my other rail with 3 more molex connectors and did the same. this is all recent ever since i upgraded to current drivers. haven't had a bsod in months. upgraded to latest drivers. ive had 12 in the past 48 hours. just got one wile running 3dmarkvantage with sli disabled, and one wile trying to boot after that bsod.

This is what windows says about my last bsod....

For every BSOD, usually there is a corresponding dump file (.dmp being the file extention). It should be located at C:/Windows/Minidump
Go there and get additional info.
As to how to open .dmp files, here is a basic guide for Windows 7:
http://windows7themes.net/how-to-ope...windows-7.html

Also, run Event Viewer to view any error in the Windows log.

Try one card at a time. Maybe one is failing.

the EVGA i just bought is fine. hasnt crashed yet, ran 2 runs of 3dmark vantage and 1 run of 3dmark06

although, vantage didn't finish either time, it crashed when i loaded the cpu stress test. check cables, there not hot, temp is 69c-70c

going to try my XFX now. im thinking my psu cant handle my cards?

850watts.... 80 amps... 4 rails...

EDIT: my xfx that ive never had a problem with gave me a bsod, and when i rebooted, i got another bsod.

im baffled. is there a way i can test my cards?

try turning off your CPU overclock (run at stock) and see if you get the same issues. Or try bumping up your vCore a notch or 2
