Like the title says, I can run Orthos 12 hours, but when I boot up my computer, doesn't post at BIOS 10% of the time. Kind of odd.

Am I safe with my overclock? I don't mind the non-posting-on-bios because I just enter BIOS, F10 to save and exit, and it's fine, but I'm concerned to know if this is safe.

On Orthos, both cores levels off at 68-71C and with the way I use my computer, I never see the temp go over 63C.

I have a Brisbane 2.6GHz that I OC'd to 3.0GHz. My DDR2 800MHz is OC'd to around 853MHz (inadvertently).

LOL. My system was fine for like two weeks now, and I just got my first blue screen. What the heck? I forgot to mention, but I had my voltage at 1.375. I just upped it to 1.4.

Hmm..

Ok, I think the blue screen was because of my ram (I think it wasn't snapped in 100%, just like 98% in or something). I re-snapped it in. Either way, I clocked it down to 1.96GHz and back to 1.375v. I'm running Orthos and it's been fine for 25 minutes.

If this does happen again. If it fails to post 10% of the time but passes Orthos fine, is it okay?

While Orthos is fine for a preliminary test you should always check with 12-24 hrs of prime95 to ensure stability. Your max temp under load for CPU I believe is 72c (not sure exactly what cpu you have) you can check here http://products.amd.com/pages/deskto...ookieSupport=1

My guess would be that your not quite stable yet or it may have been the ram not fully installed. Try a run of prime95 and see what you get, but watch those temps!

Try an eight hour run of Prime95 to ensure stability, and you want your load temperatures to stay below 65C.

If it was just your RAM, I'm glad you fixed it.
