Raid 0 Help

Thread Starter
sorry for being a noob but how do you enable unallocated space from raid 0 to be used as local drive. I have 2 raid 0 setups with 2 samsung spinpoints each

I've done
Go to BIOS and Enable RAID.
Reboot.
Go to RAID Manager. This is usually done by hitting Ctrl-I at startup, before the VMI screen.
Set up your RAID.

If you have setup a raid 0 via BIOS screen and you are intalling a clean Windows OS onto the drives if you are lucky Windows will reconize the raid and ask you to setup the partitins during the installation. But if Windows does not detect your drives during installation you will need to restart your installation and press F6 during the installation to install your raid controller driver disk. Windows will then prompt you during installation to setup partitions.

If you are not installing a new OS ignore above.

If have an Windows OS already installed but did not configure the raid partitons to use all your disk area you may be able to configure the unallocated disk area via disk mangement.

Right click my computer select manage
select disk manager
Select unallocated disk area and click create partition. DO NOT DELETE ANY CURRENT PARTITIONS. BE VERY CAREFULL .
