Guru3d is completely untrustworthy. However, I think the 590 is crippled by its vrms and smaller frame buffer. I wish someone with an SR-2 would do a true quad sli review.

Constant 60 fps for the next 5 years?

They should compare 3x MSI 3GB GTX 580 Lightning to 3x MSI 6970 Lightning on a Maximus IV with highest overclock possible. The GTX590 is lame, low clock speed, cant oc, low vram.

Gotcha, also GTX 580 is a supreme card.

Sooo, $1590 card setup vs. $990 setup? If the GTX580 wouldn't win that it would just be pathetic scaling.

Kinda disappointing how both quad gpu's fps with 3x1080P monitors is barely good enough to play ~ 60fps. Hope next gen brings the performance.

I like [H] because they tell the highest settings at which the game was playable, and if one card cant handle the same settings as the other card, they will say, they tell what the best possible experience you are going to get for you money.

6990 wins at stock and will win at overclocked on water-cooling. The 590 has a driver level amperage block that limits overclocking and performance. The 6990 can excel much better due to its higher quality electrical power components.

Tri-580 3GB should beat Tri-6970 2GB cards in their next review though.

Not surprising results here. 6000 series crossfire scales much better than SLI. Most interesting is that the GTX 590 really took a beating on minimum frame rates.

I would like to see a 6990 eyefinity comparison @ both x8 x8 and x16 x16. On a tri screen setup 5760x1080+ I'm betting they could use the bandwidth especially with AA and AF cranked.
