At 120hz we are talking about the same frames...but measuing each 0.008 sec. Much, much less.

Not good comparison. Plenty of engines work different depending on the FPS cap you have, Quake being one of them.

I have a LG W2363D, its awesome for me(I like playing fps games), however if u plan on going eyefinity, i dont think this would be the best choice cuz of the round bit at the bottom it would make it awkward to put the monitors next to each other.... also if u want to go eyefinity with 3 120Hz monitors you will need a very powerful rig to keep the fps above 120 at the resolution with 3 monitors, so maybe you might want to get 3 IPS monitors for that.

If you mean there are no practical benefits to the PICTURE, then you're right. However, LED back lit monitors use less power and require a less hefty power supply. This has the effect of reducing the voltage and current required, in the very circuits most likely to break down and cause reliability issues.

Also, from personal experience in both my own LCD monitors and TVs to those I repair where I work, LED back lit units are much less likely to have light bleeding from the edges than CCFL backlit displays are.

Of course, if we're talking TVs (which we are not) you also have the advantage of edge lit LED vs back lit CCFL. The edge lighting can make the display thinner. Further, LCD TVs using LED lighting can make use of full array and local dimming, allowing the lights behind part of the display to be dimmed while other parts of the display are bright. I'm not personally aware of any computer monitors making use of local dimming, but there's no reason why they couldn't and since some people use LCD TVs for monitors, they may be experiencing this advantage on their computers.

LED backlighting is certainly not a gimmick.

And. You can switch v sync of then just use triple buffering. The gpu will add a extra buffer going on giving the monitor enough time to display it. Input lag happens when vsync drop the frame rate half the refresh rate.
