New to SFF. Best case?

Thread Starter
I'm about ready to take the plunge into SFF's.
Want to use a full ATX PSU and 1 or2 WD Black 1 Tb hard drives.
Probably a Gigabyte mobo with USB 3 and eSATA. 8 gigs RAM.
Optical drive will be dvd writer/blue ray writer. Maybe a good sound card if it fits.
I'd like to get an i7 CPU but may have to settle for an i5.
So my question is this.
I need a SFF case that is easy to build up, with good wiring management and cooling.
Very much like the looks of the v354. Not crazy about the tall Silverstone but it would be better than nothing.
Prefer understated elegance to 'loud' looking case.
Thanks for any help.

I really like my Silverstone Sugo SG02 when I had that, it was really easy to build in and offered quite a bit of expansion. Other choice would be something like a Lani Li which are always very nice looking and sort of under stated.

Lian Li Mini Series PC-V351B - excellent storage options as well, it would be an excellent case to build in

Have you looked at the NZXT Vulcan? Its a bit large for SFF but its a nice product and NZXT bends over backwards to support it

Thanks for the suggestions.
I was hoping for a few more ideas, to be honest.
The NZXT, in my eyes, is an eyesore for me to have in my living room/computer room. (Small apartment).
And the Lian Li is old and was never one of my favorites.
Guess I'll just keep looking.
Thanks again.

Stop putting every sentence on a new line. Also, are looking at mATX or mITX form factors?

What is the function? Are you thinking about an HTPC type case?

Hugger, do you want more of a desktop style, or a tower style?

Based on the one case mentioned in the OP plus comment on sound card, micro ATX.

He does not. Not only are you in the Small Form Factor Systems sub-forum, the OP seems to be looking for micro ATX.

Sorry for the confusion. I'm looking for a micro atx case. Would prefer not to get a small tower but if that's what I have to do then that's what I'll do.
The pc will replace a larger tower pc. It will be used for SOHO, music, watching videos and some minor games. I asked about one that is relatively easy to build because I'm not particularly coordinated when it comes to building things.
Thanks.

Edit: Somebody mentioned a mini itx case. I'm not very familiar with the motherboards. Would they be as capable as a micro atx board for what I've stated above?
Thanks.

If it's mostly going to be a media PC and you want it to look nice in your apartment, definitely check the link in my previous post and poke around in the HTPC Forum here. You can pack quite a machine into an HTPC case while keeping the Component look instead of the Tower look.
