Yea! Lets hack all the governments and Apple and MS and Steam and everything else that is imperfect. That'll teach them!

Lifetime in prison? Come on now.

Sony is getting their asses handed to them. That´s what you get for being too cocky.

Still, you have to agree that Sony definitely had it coming.

You said it not me. I am simply saying that they knew this kind of action would be taken when they whent after those people. Also in the USA we have the right (and obligation) to stand up to a government that is unjust. I don't entirely condone their actions, but if this causes Sony to step up their security to protect their customers and encourage them to come up with better business practices then this will benefit everyone in the long term. I do feel bad for people that are being affected by this that have done nothing wrong.

Edit : /facepalm just saw the nice white text lol.

Yeah, and if you stand up to said government, you're thrown in jail. I.e Wikileaks.

There are better ways to go about this than to steal a company's customer information. Honestly, the only one's getting truly hurt are the customers. Sure, you're screwing around with Sony's image, but 1) What does that have to do with MY money that you just stole? I'm not Sony, I just like their games/console....and 2) How the hell are you hurting a company that already has a huge following? They aren't going to go Bankrupt.

If Bill Gates came out tomorrow and said that he was a gay pedophile preist, fathered 16 children outside his marriage, and killed a bunch of hookers while he traversed the world, Microsoft's stock might take a hit but they're still going to be raking in Billions.

Yep, you hackers sure showed Sony.

How to make their security better.

And I really bet all those people that can't get online that have an actual clue are really blaming Sony... And not sitting there grumbling about some hackers.

I don't see why non-Sony consumers laugh at Sony and I don't know why Sony consumers moan at Sony, either. I mean, I know why they do, and it's because they have no brain.

Sometimes doing what needs to be done comes with sacrifice. It is more then Sony's image that has taken a hit from this. You can bet that their profits (while not a large portion as they cover many markets and products) have been affected by this. The longer hackers attack and shut down PSN and other Sony services the more and more they will loose. If it continues long enough then the impact Sony feels may become substantial. Large companies such as Sony think they are untouchable and that they can do as they please. Would be nice to see them get a large awakening that at some point they will be held accountable.

And then Sony hands on costs to the consumer. It may hurt Sony, but it'll hurt the consumer just as much.

Hell, a lot of PC gamers are affected as they hacked and stole details of PC users with Sony games.

This may have been initiated because of Sony's previous actions, but I highly doubt this has anything to do with that. Sony got knocked down and all the vultures came out when they saw weakness. Sony is being attacked repeatedly, because they are scrambling to try and recover from previous attacks, thus, weakening them.

This has nothing to do with the group Anonymous, or avenging past actions.
This is people stealing because they can. Period.

That's passed the point. I'm talking about less content being ps3 or console specific since they're now less reliable. Devs want their stuff to be played, and if everyone is too scared to give Sony their credit cards, the devs will make their content available on better platforms
