What card/cards for new build?

Thread Starter
ATM Im looking at the ASUS GTX570 DCII (Triple Slot Card)

I hear its VERY quiet.

Would 2x XFX 5770's be better?

I can almost get 3 of them for the price of the ASUS.

Also can I use my old card as a PhyX controler? I ehar something about doing that but don't know.

The 570 DCII is a great great. I wouldn't get 5770s over it.

I'm not so sure about using a 8800GT as a PhysX card, it will probably be a bottleneck.

If I go with the 3 Slots 570 will it fit in the A70F? Or should I go with the HAF X?

What's your native resolution?

Umm I'll be honest. I am not sure? I ussualy play in a low resolution to get good settings.

I know my monitor is 1920x1080

Ive never been able to play games at that with my 8800GT (not with great settings.)

Id like to play in HD so 1920x1080 would be nice!

To be frankly honest, I thought I knew what I wanted to build, but after reading this forums a lot more I'm not sure. I am more confused then when I started. I am new to this and usually I just pick stuff off of tech sites thats rated good and go. This time I want to make an informed decision and know WHY I'm making that decision so I can be better prepared to make decisions on my own.
A good amount of the replies (not this thread) are "search and you shall find" (which there is a tremendous amount to search through and mostly confusing) a or give a general "this" or "why that" response. I guess I can't ask for more, but I want more. lol

/sigh

The only thing I know now is I'm getting a 2600k because it's on retail edge. heh.

6870s in CF cost ~$350 AR. I'd probably go with those if you're only gaming at 1920x1080.

So the 6870 CF Solution would be better then a single GTX570? Considering it's the same price.

Definitely. CF 6870 destroy a single GTX 570.

I personally wouldn't pay more than $300 for any 570. It's only a little faster than 6950.
