[PureOC] Scythe Susanoo Review

Quote:
Scythe, an air cooler manufacturer has rewritten the rules in CPU cooling. Air coolers have slowly evolved over many years but radical changes just do not happen overnight. In the PC cooling sector, we have seen many different styles but the concept and design pretty much remains constant until recently. Today, we will review the Scythe Susanoo air cooler and they have used a different approach with top-down design than your traditional air cooling solutions.
More here.

I expected better considering the size of this. And $100 seems a bit much, and I thought the D14 was expensive. o.O

Four 120mm fans?! Wowser...

Looks like it actively feeds the side of the GPU air too.

All that weight, and noise, and it bests the D14 by 1 degree.

I'd love to test my cooler with three fans in Push/Push/Pull and Pull/Pull/Push configuration against this. Willing to be mine'd win with the same fans at nowhere near the size and weight.

I really like Scythe, but man that's a bit much. And stick some Typhoons on it!

EDIT: 210x210x160mm.... Mine is 120x120x160mm, so it's at least not as high as I first thought.

Also seems they're 4x100mm fans, Scythe's page has them listed as Slipstreams, but they're probably just the same 58CFM Kaze Jyu's I mounted on my Musashi. (Most Slipstreams are also called "Kaze Jyuni's" or "Kaze Jyu's". Jyu=10 (cm), Jyuni=12 (cm), Kaze=Wind/Cold<-illness)

Weight Included Fan:
1,565 g / 55.20 oz.

^Ouchy...
