I prefer a fan controller anyways, just because I like to dial down when just browsing or whatever. I have 3 Medium Speed Yate Loons on a single channel of a Lamptron FC-6. Eventually I'll get adventurous, put it in push/pull and extend the cables for every other fan in the case and put them on the controller as well.

I've got 6 fans on the left rad, 6 on the right plus 3 at the front of the box and 3 at the back... i also have the same pump as you.

phase 1 is:

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/87...dog&mv_pc=6445 - this has 3x5v, 3x7v and 3x12v fan ports, plus power for my pump (4 pin molex). It will mean I run my pump at full for a little while and I can select whether I want the fans on full (12v) or lower.

Coupling that with 2 of each of these and some extensions.

http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12...dog&mv_pc=6449 (for front and rear fans)
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/12...dog&mv_pc=6448 for the 6 on each rad.

Eventually I am going to probably run the PWM control of the pump from my motherboard and use SpeedFan to control it.

Is connecting nine fans to a motherboard fan socket really safe? LOL.
Anyway, I'm looking for a low profile fan connector.. probably something I can screw onto the back of my case.
I wouldn't even dare try that, depending on fans some can use a lot of wats and 9x of that can even damage your board.
Either use molex or some strong fan controller like Lamptron FC-8 if you want to be able tune rpms on fans
