Ocing on a ta890fxe, is it possable/advised?

I have a question so ive been trying to oc my sig rig not much success, a few members on here though told me i shouldnt even bother b/c my motherboard will fry out with my cpu. Now i have heard that b/c its a 4+2 power phase is the reason it will fry, im inclined to beleave this but wanted input from other owners anyone???

In general, it is a bad idea to even run a hex-core on a 4-Phase VRM motherboard. Get a better board before really trying to clock up.

LOL@Krogoth. The FXE is one of the few quality 4+2 boards. El Gappo, a member on here, has gotten a hexa core to 6.1GHZ on it. That mod who did the VRM sheet has only seen 1 VRM error with the FXE. Feel free to overclock as high as you want on it but only be limited by your CPU cooling.

Hi lost in tyme, you have given me advice before and i appricate it again yea i saw elgapo do some amazing things with this board but everyone seems to be telling me that im going to burn it up going to 4.0. yea I thought it was a decent board when i baught it i know its not the best, but a lot of people keep telling me not to overclock with it, i mean i dont mind if it burns out in a few months just dont want it to fry instantly lol.
