[WCCF] AMD Bulldozer (Zambezi-FX) CPU Performance Exposed, Beats i7 2600K in CineBenc - Page 20

I had to look twice. I see what you're talking about.

That ain't my fault, that's how the originally article was.

Need proof?

Do a search on the top right of the forum for the words "AMD Postpones"

This is the 1st result:

That thread has been deleted, but it's clear what the OP's content is, which matches the original
article, which is the content that I QUOTED!

Need more proof?

Do a Google search for AMD postpones Bulldozer, and that exact line comes up again.

Now, was I "trolling" or was I quoting what was written by HWC?

Don't shoot the messenger, AMD doesn't confirm things one way or another, all these rumors are flying around. Wouldn't it be better to have leaked benchmark rumors instead of delay rumors, I would think the former would make more sense.

AMD sure is leaking info about Llano, why aren't they doing it with Bulldozer?

Why do review sites only have 990FX motherboards, but no Bulldozer chips to test them with?

Could this be true?
Quote:
The bad news is that those Bulldozer-based chips are still not ready. Processors based on the B0 stepping are in the hands of motherboard manufacturers. But they’re all telling me that performance is nowhere near what they were expecting, and it’ll take another stepping to fix them.

Even if bulldozer has a high stock clock.. It won't be very overclockable.

-an overclocked 2600k will most likely beat it.

if you buy a sandy bridge you waive your computer to intel, for them to remotely disable your processor via 3G.

Thats why i refuse to buy a 2nd gen i7

Uhm... no.

Only a few select laptop CPUs have the "killswitch", ALL commercial desktop processor and most commercial laptop processors do not have it.

Read this before you make any more baseless claims.

you are just terribly mis-informed.

first, this is for laptops only.
second, this feature is aimed to secure data when a theft occurred, targeting the business sector, if you don't like it as a user and a bit paranoid - just disable it on the BIOS.

Do you ever read people's posts before making a claim?

It has to be a vPro CPU to have that function. Otherwise no such unit exists, and so cannot be hacked or used because - wait for the shock - it's not even on the CPU.

If you look here, you'll see both vPro 2nd gen CPUs and normal (non vPro CPUs) as categories.
Here - vPro: http://www.intel.com/itcenter/produc...vpro/index.htm
And here - normal: http://www.intel.com/itcenter/produc...mily/index.htm

So unless a processor says vPro on it it does not have "killswitch" on it at all.
Nor commercial desktop CPU has that feature, at all.
Stop making stuff up.
