2600K overclocking, this happen to other people? - Page 2

Thread Starter
I finally got it at 4.5ghz with 1.270 volts, and this LONG list of settings, it passed 4 hours of OCCT linpack

CPU Voltage = 1.2700
EPU = Disabled
Load Line Calibration = Extream
VRM Frequency = Auto
VRM Spread Spectrum = Enabled (I think this was the missing piece, but I don't feel like going back to 1.260 volts and trying for stability again)
Phase Control = Optimized
Duty Control = C.Probe
CPU Current = 100%
CPU Voltage = Manual
DRam Timing = 9-9-9-24
CPU Ratio = 45x
Enhanced Intel Speed Step = Disabled
Bclock = 100
Q-Fan = Enabled, all fans set to Turbo mode

Ugh, so I left it running Prime 95 blend all night long at 1.270 volts, it passed over 8 hours, so I turned it off, and then 2 hours later doing -NOTHING- on my system basically I still got a 124 BSoD error!

This is beyond infuriating

Its a common problem with SB. Needs more voltage to be idle stable, yeah it doesn't really make sense, but needs more voltage is what fixes this for just about everyone.

Yea I had bsods... only at idle. It's freaking weird. Too bad this motherboard has a vdrop problem (should have done more research first).

Turn down your LLC and add a few more volts, that'll keep it more stable at idle but not push insane volts under load.
