What's the best way to install Windows 7?

I got my new rig delivered today, got it setup nicely and up running.

My school gives us access to MSDN which has a bunch of OS and I downloaded Windows 7 x64 version in .iso format.

I don't have blank dvds -_- and I just tried booting from my external harddrive but it didn't work.

Is there any other way around this? It's 3 AM and every store is closed or else I'd have gone and bought a blank DVD.

Apparently you can mount it on a thumbdrive.
