Thread Starter
I have a c2q 9300 , but my mobo is a bit cheap one with just max 4gb ram , and a single pci e slot. i wanted to go for crossfire. I cannot find find all of the things that i need in a single mobo, if i found then it was written " lga 1156".

will my lga 775 c2q work in the mobo which supports the newer technology.

And also will it be gud to have ati5750 crossfire, i dont have a great budget.

first of welcome to ocn.

fill in your system specs.

no you need a socket 775 motherboard.

if your upgrading maybe got for a socket 1155(sandy bridge)

you will need a new motherboard, CPU & Ram.

or buy a X48 chipset 775 board.

Post your budget and what you are going to use it for (I'll assume gaming), because it really helps.

As others have said, you're going to need a 775 board.

I searched through 10 pages of 775 mobos on newegg and couldn't find one that had 2 PCI-e 16x slots.

If you have the money go for the 6850, its well worth it (I have 2 OCed and in CF).

LOL i m frm India and here gaming aint too famous like US or UK. Thnks for the help and also that i cant buy frm newegg as shipping cost will **** me.I bought q9300 and ati5750 just for 11k rupees ($240)( used), and now cannot buy anything more pricy .
well i was looking for another mobo just to get the crossfire into work by buying another 5750, but i think that really wont be gud ( can play at highest settings on one) and also to upgrade to ddr3 ram.
So thnks and its better to wait and get a 6990 in future or anything better that arrives.
