AM3 Build for $1700 - Page 2

I don't know your friends preference regarding AMD or Intel but if you must buy a system for that budget today... then go sandy.

However, bear in mind that Bulldozer will launch in 3 weeks, And while we don't know details about its performance, I can assure you that the bulldozer 6 core will be notably faster than Thurban.

Haha this is insane, so much replies in so little time love how active this forum is.
well back to the topic, well yes my friends a AMD guy wen it comes to cpus nd a Nvidia guy for graphics.
well i agree with everyone that i5-2500k would be the best build for this money, but i guess he said he wants a good AMD gaming system and not a intel one, and since bulldozer is like a month away(mayb 2 months b4 we get anything) i would rather just let him wait, for abit....

thanks for all the input tho apreciate the help, will keep my eye out for them bulldozer for him....

ffejrxx on the point of the f3 drives, ive got 1 nd would like to get a 2nd to run it in raid 0 on my sig rig, would i c any improvement?
