How good is z68?

How good is the Z68's onboard graphics? can it play games like BF2 and Crysis with medium settings?
The Z68X OC's just like the P67 mobos. The main difference is that the Z68 has onboard graphics (best to use discrete GPU for gaming), SSD Caching, and the bios is slightly tweaked more. Here's an article about the SSD Caching... http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...hing,2938.html

It allows you to use your chip's onboard graphics. The graphics performance is dependant on what CPU you have but I don't think it's great regardless.

Edit: The HD3000 IGP is roughly equal to a 5450

I know they arent good but I'll have to use one for a couple months

and the cpu I plan on getting is 2500k

I just edited my above post and it's actually better than I expected, it performs about the same as a 5450 according to that review and while that's not great it should play games at lower resolutions and medium settings.
BF2 should be okay but I dunno about crysis, googling at the moment.

Edit: http://www.anandtech.com/show/4083/t...2100-tested/11 is a better review with some benchmarks, none for BF2 or crysis though

Cuz it would have been a waste of time for BF2 & Crysis. It would definitely struggle, especially with Crysis.

I dont think it would struggle at all with BF2. I can play it on low settings smoothly with my onboard gpu ( i think its ati x1250). It's crysis1/2 im not sure about.

You might be right about BF2 @ low res but Crysis is definitely a GPU hog.
