Asrock P67 Professional: Error D6

Thread Starter
Hey all,

Getting error code D6 on my Asrock P67 Pro in the nre build (worked in previous build, recently). No console input device detected. GPU is EVGA 570?

1. Tried reseating GPU and moving to every availible PCI slot.

2. Tried all available connection types (dvi and vga).

3. Tried unplugging everything but mobo and main drive and running. Same error... D6.

4. Tested multipled power cables.

I have crawled all over Google and only found a few related pages, mostly involving reseating the VGA or ensuring that all power cables are plugged in/working. No luck so far.

Someone please tell me this is a Stupid User Error, and how to fix it. *groan*

Try resetting the bios, and double check that you have all your power connections firmly inserted into their appropriate locations.

Thanks for the response.

Checked all cables again, and tried clearing cmos again. I still get the D6 error.

Is your GPU new? Have you tried a different GPU or perhaps your current one in another PC?

agh... ya looks like my 570 is DOA. Tried an old ATI and I made post just fine.

And the endless RMA cycle continues... at this rate my build wont be usable till next year. -_-

Sucks that your video card is dead, but at least its under warranty, and you found what the problem is.

yep, thanks for the responses matt.

Fortunately EVGA is again living up to their rep. Lifetime warranty and great customer service.

Looks like ill be unpacking my trusty old geforce 6800 haha. just a shame i dont have a reference card around, its going to run toasty in my ft02.
