PLease Help me out!

Thread Starter
Ok bought new pc and it is basically sig rig now.

When trying to install the OS the SSD came up as IDE and wouldnt display outside of the RAID controller, and the mobo BIOS would never see it and when it did it was under IDE and not SATA.

Figuring it may be a bad sata6 I took out the gpu and plugged the c300 into the sata3 with a different cable, only this time I lost my display. Now I plugged it back into as sata6 and now when booting as soon as it access a HDD it forces a shut down (as in the psu turns off and I cant start it without clearing CMOS)

Ive checked and rechecked my cables just to make sure their seated correctly and still nothing, im going to recheck them one more time just to be sure but any help would be nice, think I got got a lemon mobo?

Might be a faulty SSD? Tried it in other motherboards?

unfortunately this is my only system, I can try connecting it to my mothers hp I suppose but she would probably flip out etc.

Upon inspection of the mobo, the pc turns off and dram led is lit, tried moving the set around and still nothing, bought the set from a reputable user here so I dont think its DOA.

Going to read the booklet for probable cause

EDIT: well the booklet actually has no troubleshooting for anything so im not sure what to say on that one

Tried clearing CMOS and taking battery out for 10 - 15 minutes?

tried the CMOS but havent tried taking the battery out only because in the FT03 its actually unreachable when mobo is installed. Ill have to figure out a way to get at it lol

EDIT: I stand corrected, seems Im still learning new things about the FT03, battery has been removed

well tried reseating and reapplying tim and now I cant find my tube of shin etsu, so I guess troubleshooting is on hold for now

EDIT: found some antec formula 5 and finished reseat, also used a different power plug. Still no change. DRAM light lit. Ive also noticed that as soon as the cpu and HDD are lit that the pc powers off

EDIT 2: Ok using the ROG connect function of the Rampage III line it tries to detect the memory and the nturns off, no error code. I did find however that it is trying to boot the cpu at a 1.1 volt which I believe for i7 is pretty low

EDIT 3: Inherently this is a common issue, and to my utter dread I will have to RMA. Its stuck on Detect Memory and MemOk! doesnt work either, just gets stuck on "MemOK! tuning"
