I just bought an Epiphone SG. It's my first guitar and have no idea how I'd connect it to my PC.
I've noticed that I have to mess around heavily with threshold settings, otherwise it picks up all kinds of noise, especially when fretting strings.. the guitar plays it self without having to strum the strings haha.
But with a low threshold, it seems to have mostly solved this. The only problem is, it doesn't always pick up on light strums, nor does it have a long sustain on higher notes.
I went to my local guitar center today, the people there didn't seem to know what I wanted, or very helpful. They said I should get
Can anybody help me lol?
All I want is to be able to plug my guitar into my computer, and be able to listen with headphones or record as if I had it plugged into a normal amp. Like how the girl in this video has it setup:
side note - when I'm using guitar rig, it seems to disable my sound card or something.. I can't listen to anything from my computer, only the guitar until I close the program. What's the deal there? I'd like to be able to play over music.
