How quiet are those things? also do they still have the same if not more performance than the akasa vipers?
Much better, and very quiet considering the amount of air they push, and the static pressure they make.

For a rad, get AP-15's. Most importantly: you have a Gigabyte motherboard. When you get the Gentle Typhoons you can go into BIOS, find PC Health, go to the bottom and enable Smartfan. Then set Smartfan mode to Voltage. Only Gigabyte boards allow you to control with Voltage.

Great mb.

Not an entirely accurate test seeing as how the GT's are on a 120-->140 shroud, however it still gets slightly more airflow with less noise.

You could always get a Xigmatek XSF-F1252 there 20dBA & 75CFM and you can pick them up from PC World HERE and its the best price I found. I use one on my case at the back to take out the warm air and it works well.

Well they push a lot of Air but yeah what its specs say dont always ring true because when mounted it will create more noise because of the case and the pressure of the air moving.
