Constant blue screens/computer wont restart. Help!

Hey everyone. I built a computer for cousin my this past Christmas holiday and ever since like a week after he had it running at his house he'd get blue screens periodically that have been getting exponentially worse, happening 3 or 4 times a day now. Not only that but if you try to restart his computer from Windows it ALWAYS hangs at the motherboard post screen.

Here's a spec list:

AMD II X2 Phenom 560 BE with a Hyper 212+
Gigabyte 890XA-UD3
4 Gigs of Kingston HyperX DDR3 1600Mhz
HD 4850
WD Caviar Black 1TB
Corsair CX600 PSU
CM Centurion 5

Now here's a list of things I've tried to no avail:

Underclocked the quad from 3.3ghz to 3.0ghz.
Changed his processor to a tri-core. Note: Originally unlocked his processor to a quad upon building it. Tested it at 4 cores under prime95 for 8 or 12 hours or something? Temps were fine, everything was stable. Also tested memory with memtest and things were a-ok.
Reset CMOS via battery pull.
Tried both sticks of ram in every slot combination, both by themselves and together.
Popped my GTX 460 SE in his computer since the 4850 I gave him runs hot, at about 100c under load (nothing like the first revision of that bad boy ) since his Centurion 5 doesn't have the best airflow. Processor temps went down a tad but nothing substantial.

Things I plan on trying:

Switching his processor back to stock dual core then running memtest/prime95

Is there anything else I should try? Maybe the auto voltages picked in the bios are over-stressing the motherboard? Maybe the motherboard or ram is a/are dud(s)?

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

Would recommend return all settings in bios back to stock, and ram changes/cpu changes need to be changed back. Has the o/s been running fine recently because dont forget its not always the hardware to be at fault.

Woops, sorry, he hasn't always been getting them. They started around 2 and a half months ago. The OS has been running fine.

It usually happens when playing video games. I was there running intel burn test, it went through a couple runs and the second after I closed IBT it blue screened.

Alright, I guided him through returning it to a dual core over the phone. Ram and cpu are all on auto/stock voltage settings. He's going to let me know how the blue screens are going

Right ok chances are when the cpu was under heavy load it might of decided to give up a cpu change wouldnt be a bad thing

I don't have any other amd processors I could test out at the moment but we'll see where returning it to stock takes us. I noticed the northbridge on the mobo was running really hot so maybe the cpu can handle being a quad but the auto voltages blew like the pll or some other voltage out of proportion and it was screwing things over

I doubt the CPU is defective ,most probable is the RAM.Test properly each stick alone.Just had similar issues generated by my Corsairs going out
