Hi there ,

I have a burning question about the monitors I am currently using .
Both are from Samsung and purchased in Seoul South Korea.
The first is Syncmaster CX916T (700:1 contrast ratio) and the Syncmaster CX226BW (Dynamic contrast 3000:1) ...

I am unsatisfied with the contrast on the newer CX226BW and I have both monitors next to eachother, and do a lot of photo editing with Adobe products.
I notice that my photos look way nicer (better contrast) on the older CX916T , and I was just wondering why the heck this could be!

I am planning on purchasing two new lcd monitors and wish to get the same contrast I am getting on the CX916T. There is really now way on testing the monitors before buying cause they will never take them out of the box for testing and the monitors they have set up for display in the shop are all link with dividers and there is no way of telling if they are displaying the true capabilities of the monitors.

How can my lower 700:1 monitor have stronger contrast than the more expensive 3000:1 model ? I like Samsung products and would like some recommendations on getting some good monitors. 24 inch is the starting point .

Thank you

Ralph
