prava rep for the tips. One problem is I think I'm so use to run and gun shooters. Got stuck on BioShock a long time ago and quit. I just started over a couple of days ago and followed what I was supposed do and am enjoying it now and am pretty far into the game. I will try SOC again after I finish BioShock.

I was a couple of missions past the train station. I met someone by the sewer and had to do a run through of a building I already went through. But it was dark and their were a lot of enemies and I just never could get past them all. Some 2 or 3 story complex. As hard as it was maybe I was about ready to get into the good stuff I don't know.

Will try it again soon.

So I just reinstalled SOC. Installed complete v 1.4.3 for some reason I have never been able to install v 1.4.4. Do I need to install all the original patches or are they included in complete?

i love all three, but SoC is by far the best. it's just like a good RPG shooter should be. you get more powerful and skilled as time goes by and everything becomes immensely fun.

I'm afraid you have to install all the patches...manually one by one Yes, its not a nice thing to do once and again and again. But don't install the last one, 1.6, as its not needed at all.

I know exactly what are you talking about You get out of the sewers and show-off at a military camp.

Want a little suggestion?

As soon as you leave the sewer, there will be a guy onto a tower. Get him down kick (noise doesn't matter). Then, the alarm will go off, so try to find a building and wait by the door: all the idiots mmm soldiers will go to you, so its much easier to clean the zone.

Take in mind some of them won't move (at the entrances of the base. And the guy guarding the briefcase himself), check the number below the mini-map as it tells you the NPC within short-distance (enemy or not; but in that base you will find no friends ).

Now, before you get into the main building, you will see an alarm-buzzer (whatever is called, lol). Shoot it so you don't get crazy by hearing it all the time. Get up, take the documents. Once there, more enemies will come, so get to the roof and use an emergency ladder that is attached on the back of the building. Get down, and there will be a hole on the fence nearby. If you use it you will skip the crapload of guards waiting for you to show...and also you will be able to kill the guys guarding the road from the side without trouble. Much easier.

I hope this makes your way easier. Once you start feeling the zone you will try other stuff, such as snitching. The problem, though, is that its almost imposible to do so because any time you load the game the "model" loads a weapons and makes noise, killing your position. Its really reaaaaaaaaaally hard to kill that guard guy on the tower on snitch mode because he sees you 99.99% of the times.

You can also go rambo, if you are fast with the aim, use grenades to make them run like chicken out of cover ( ) and other stuff: just keep trying. At this point you should be using the Strelok's AK74 so now you can aim a ton better and don't waste a hell lot of ammo.

What to do now? I recommend that once you are at the bar-keep, you visit the ARENA (make a good save game, not fast one, before!) and also ROSTOK. First one can teach you about how to move or deal with a group of people (on hardcore is VERY hard until you get the total feeling off of it, I'm telling you); second one will give you nice stuff

In general, make hard-saves every time you enter an area. There are a ton of missions that start once you enter that you can't leave and get you nice stuff if completed (but they are hard).

Good luck, and be careful: the zone is not forgiving...you may find yourself ending the game once and again and trying as many mods as there are. And there are LOTS.
