Windows won't boot, "DQFYR is compressed"

Thread Starter
I'm having this terribly odd error upon bootup. Before even loading the Windows loading screen, I get a
"DQFYR is compressed.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart."
message. It looks exactly like the NTLDR is compressed message, but it isn't NTLDR. I installed GRUB to see if this would solve the problem; no dice. I tried to rebuild MBR prior, but that didn't help either.

Anyone have this issue before? I can't find *anything* on Google.

There are some newer viruses/ rootkits etc that hackers are using now that encrypt part or all of a HDD, then they charge the victim to unlock their data.
They basically blackmail victims to get back into their systems.
Let us know if you get a call/ email from some guy in India/ Africa offering to help you with your computer problems for a small fee...
