Misbehaving GTX 470

Hey guys, what's up
So my gtx 470 recently has started to give me driver has crashed errors.

The card was bought new late last year. It boots into windows and can play games fine except some games, like starcraft 2, it makes the screen go black and gives me the error. However, it plays crysis, for example, without a problem.

It also crashes drivers when watching youtube or movies. Note that the black screens/crashes happen randomly and not as soon as I start playing.

I have tried it on different systems, and it does the same thing. I'm guessing it is memory related because I have ran occt and combuster for hours without errors.

I have never seen this happen before so I'm pretty much clueless.
Anyone know what it could be?

Try an older driver. Check your temperatures CPU and GPU side.

Are you trying the new beta drivers?

If so roll it back to a older one like stated above

Had tried some older drivers and even beta drivers. No changes.
Temps never got >70c. Cpu is stock dual-core so it doesn't even reach 40c

If the problem follows the card, then the card is at fault. Is this card overclocked by you or by the factory? I would suggest downclocking the card with MSI Afterburner, to below stock factory settings, and test to see if the same issues arise - paying special attention to the memory clock and its effects. Similarly, raising the voltage slightly may also help to stabilize your card as well, within reason.

Best of luck.

Just follow what covertash said hes is right all around, if the problem persist just RMA the card like * covertash said* raising the voltage slightly may also help to stabilize your card i had to raise my voltages on my * GTX460 SLI and tested some old drives till o got my OC stable @ 932MHz with the new beta drivers i can OC to 922MHz stable i had to clock up each option till i get stable, so even 0.01MHz counts even get stable or unstable so good luck.
