[Newegg] LG IPS226V $180 shipped

Thread Starter
Here.

This monitor uses the same panel as the U2211H and has HDMI unlike the U2211H, so I think it's a fairly good deal. I don't think it's as aesthetically nice as the Dell equivalent, but what can you do?

IPS 236v user here, can attest to the panel quality.

Definitely worth the 180, you won't find a lot of TN panels that low.

Can anyone else attest to the quality? It's more than $100 less than most other IPS displays. Does that take a quality hit?

Should my $180 go towards this IPS or a TN?

IPS > TN ← without a doubt

I wouldn't pay more than $100 for the best TN monitor out on the market. While there are better IPS monitors than this one, for $180 you're not getting ripped off - it's definitely a good bargain.

Looks like an awesome deal. The only hesitation I have is the screen size. I was thinking I might get a 23-24 inch monitor, but I'm guessing image quality might be more important than size...

If anyone is on the fence about this one, it's worth it.

I was expecting some ghosting or even a little uneven backlighting, but mine is 98% perfect! It blows my old one away.
