HATED bfbc2 because of their online pass for xbox 360. Anyone who had the pass, uninstalled it cause NO ONE had it, and it would boot people out of games when loading "VIP" maps.

Thats why i have it for PC.

Also ive since sold my xbox. Straight PC for me now.

Really? I never heard of uninstalling since nobody had it. Thought the game was popular so people bought it new/on release day like me.

Ha, I'll just buy it when it hits $5.

Not if they use GFWL.

Dubbed the VIP Pass, the code is included in all new retail copies of the game and is part of an ongoing effort from publishers to combat the second hand games market.

I wish people would stop buying games that do this. Used games isn't what's hurting them, pirarcy what's isn't hurting them the most either. What is hurting them, is them constantly making bad games or rather bad investments that no one wants to buy. If they would narrow their product line some and focus on good titles and ditch the bull**** it might help. Note this doesn't mean don't take risks on new ideas, just not every games needs a sequel. And not every idea can stand on it's own.

And then also LOWER THE PRICES, offer the games online at a reduced price and see the groves of people buying the games. If I am borderline on a game and see it for 30 it is a huge incentive to buy it.

^^ I agree, most of the time I don't even buy the game as it's too much and buy second hand games.

But when I do get a game I usually buy it from Steam as it's always prices well there even for newer titles but again that is rare for me since in NZ we get raped for bandwidth, aka small caps (40gb) for way too much.

And reasons like these is why I sold my console and said goodbye to Forza 3, I'm not going to support what I believe is doing something that it shouldn't be done.
