They won't exchange it because they believe the OP bent them. Before they used to have a policy where they'd open the box and inspect for bent pins and have you sign. It seems that they stopped doing that. He can try complaining way up the ladder, but it's going to be tough. Not impossible, but tough. He has to reach the store manager and higher if need be. The dept managers and other supervisors are worthless. They'll just say no.

I concur, i mean something is up. You have rights to return the mobo.

I had bent pins on my pop's asus p5q pro and i was able to bent the pins back, and everything was all good. I just dont know how the pins were bent...prolly when I put out the cover from a angle....idk.

Print this out and bring it to the store.
Make a scene if you have to. Don't leave without a new board.

Go in and try again hopefully with new employees, then if they still refuse ask for their information so you can report them. If they don't accept it after you threaten to report them then go ahead and enjoy them getting in trouble.

I doubt they will get in trouble if the managers were the ones telling him he can't exchange it in a rude tone. This is some shady, bad business. They should make sure they give their company a good reputation, but apparently they could care less. That's what stands out in companies and you can usually tell which ones care.

Fry's Electronics Retail Store Return/Exchange Privileges

1. For a refund or exchange, most products may be returned within 30 days of original purchase date. Some other products, such as notebook computers, netbooks, tablets and iPads, desktop computers, monitors, MP3 players and iPods, memory, microprocessors, motherboards, network-attached storage, CD and DVD recorders, camcorders, digital cameras, projectors, and air conditioners (IF UNUSED) may be returned within 15 days of original purchase date. See store management for specific information.

Say that due to the bent pin you don't want to put a processor in as it may damage the processor.

Fry's is being ridiculous by not returning / exchanging.

If it was me, I would return the mobo + CPU + RAM and go SB.

@OP

Here's my suggestion:

Go to the Fry's you bought the mobo from and get in touch with the store manager. Inform him that you bought the board from them and it was shipped with bent CPU pins, that you've tried working with his staff, and so far they've chosen not to honor their 30 day return policy.

Tell him that if he doesn't replace the mobo free of charge, you'll file a claim. If he tries to fight you at all on the return, leave and file a claim in small claims court. As soon as he gets served papers, you can bet he'll come around. And even if he doesn't, you can prove that the mobo hasn't been in your possession for 30 days and get the court to order him to replace it.
