Now that I'm calm...
- I really like the white fans and white inside... The tinted window is freaking sweet
- The watercooling looks really snazzy, you did it well
- I think you did a wonderful job with the rig, going to minute details like painting the fans
I wanted to keep the WC setup unobtrusive. I see too many builds that are just over the top and people have spent more money on fittings than their motherboards.

Windows are overdone or maybe they aren't creative any more. Probably why some people just leave the side off altogether!

I'm glad to see the fractal xl is being used more for water cooling. With modding it can do unbelievable things while looking good at the same time. I have 2 of these cases (titanium & black) sitting around waiting to be modded.

I almost went clear, but after I added the LED, I knew I could step it up. It's actually light grey, there is a darker tint available. Some really well placed LED lighting could make it even better, but I'm all modded out.

Nice rig, gets better and better every time I check back on this thread.
A hinge or latching mechanism would be super awesome. I really don't enjoy unscrewing those four screws. Plus, I don't have a good way to grab the window to remove it other than by the fans.

How is the cable management in the Fractal?
It's superb. There are lots of entry holes around the mobo and the one up top is perfect for my 8 pin. It's a real roomy case without being larger than your couch.

You betcha. There is room behind the front panel that can be utilized with a little modding. Fractal put intake fan holders that could be removed for that extra bit of room.

Thanks to everyone who checked in on this along the way!

what kind of rads do you think we can fit on top?

Honestly, I think you could cram about any size rad up there if you didn't mind some of the excess sticking out the top of the case.

With the exhaust fan removed, you'll have lots of length, but you may be restricted by how thick your rad is. I didn't consider this method in my build because I wanted to limit the fan exposure and keep the minimalistic theme to the case. I would have loved to pull in air from the bottom through my rad, but with the PSU down there, it just wouldn't work.

On WEI I get 7.6 on my 2500K none overclocked.

IS the 980X the only CPU that can get 7.9 or something?
