As said, hold out a bit longer, maybe see what Bulldozer has to offer or even wait on Ivy Bridge. What you have now is still great!

Dont upgrade dude, 2500k wont give you anything of value for the price you will pay.
Wait till the new consoles come out. Then maybe upgrade.

Waste of money. You will see little to no real world performance increases. The only thing you will see go up will be stupid benchmarks "OH LOOK A HIGHER NUMBER WOOT!".

Get an SSD. I'm still on i5 750 at 3.8 and it ploughs through anything. Games don't really utilise the CPU that much anyway, it's more GPU. Even with Crysis 2 maxed I aint even getting 50 percent CPU usage.
