First of all the combo that he listed has the 2500 not the 2500k meaning it won't be unlocked and therefore won't really be overclockable beyond its own turbo mode.

Second of all he's talking about gaming. Hyperthreading is worthless for gaming as most games stand nowadays. If you're going to get anything that combo is good. The 2500k is more expensive but better. The 2600k is completely worthless over its 2500k counterpart for gaming.

However I'm not really sure what the best upgrade for you would be (gpu or cpu) for this game.

To the OP, I would wait for the patch that is (hopefully) coming this week and then see how your performance is.

If ubersampling is off, 275 beta drivers are installed, 3D vision drivers are uninstalled and FPS is still low there might be one last thing that could help, edit: *snip*

Thread Starter
thanks for all the responses.

I'm not sure if the 2500K is my calling considering i probably won't overclock the CPU. & 2600k seems like a waste of 100usd considering what the benchmarks say.

Bastyn99, for some bizarre reason my framerate problems have gone away. so no need to get the crack.
