CPU fan is displayed as 0 rpm for few seconds

Hi, I have a MSI p67a-gd65 mobo and
I have installed cool maseter hyper n520 cpu fan. (3pin)

Now the problem is every 20 seconds or so
I get this really annoying alarm sound from Control Center that my cpu fan speed is 0 rpm.

Control Center displays 1750-1800 rpm and than all of a sudden it displays 0 rpm. (Also looked at speedfan and shows same result...)
Whenever I see that the speed is displayed 0 rpm, I stare at the cpu fan but it doesnt seem like its slowing down..
Also when Control Center displays 0 rpm, the alarm goes away within 1-2 seconds (at most 3 seconds, rarely though) and again displays 1750-1800 rpm.

I'm quiet a bit of a noob so I have no clue what the problem is... so
I'm guessing it might be voltage problem?
So here's the voltage that is displayed on Control center (v):
VCore: 1.336
3.3v: 3.2
5V:5.045
12V: 12.056
cpu IO: 1.25
cpu SA: 0.93
cpu PLL: 1.8
PCH 1.05: 1.05

Anyone know what the problem could be?

What is this Control Center you speak of? I wouldn't really put too much faith into software readings anyway. If you can confirm that the fan is actually working, there's really no need to worry.

My speedfan jumps between 1600 and 20 RPMs randomly, disable the alarm and ignore it. IDK why but it seems 3 pins aren't that reliable.

aww snap... than if i do disable my cpu fan warning...
I'm screwed if cpu fan actually does fail...

Anyway, thanks for the advise guys!

If your CPU fan does fail and your processor actually gets to bad temps it will just shut itself down. You'd have to do that quite a bit to actually do real harm.
