Day Two 22-5-2011
So today the work starts... It was a bit wet and humid outside so i decided to start on the front of the case while waiting for the weather to dry up.
Pulled out the rotary tool and started cutting.
Pulled out the hot glue gun and started gluing! (Ghetto glue ftw!)
Problem with the Ghetto glue was it was a giant lump... So i pulled out a small file i had lying around, flat and wide... and then grabbed my Jet lighter for HEAT. Heated up the file and smoothed out the glue.
So with the glue smooth but still rather rough (i think it adds character... but im just lazy) i decided to get the painting set up.
I decided to do it under my house as the weather is up to crap here in north QLD. The problem with under my house is the excessive amount of dust and dirt... so i built this
Then with a test paint i realized that there was no airflow and the paint sorta just floated around... so i looked to the HAF for help... and it did.
GHETTO FAN!!!
With the 230mm fan hooked up to the psu from an old ODD server i could leave it running to provide airflow... And latter i found out it actualy caused the paint to dry faster aswell
Now my paint choice... only cheap stuff but i can make it look good with my 1337 skilz bruz!
And a trick i picked up from OCN, warming the paint before spraying. (warm water was in the bucket)
Time to start painting!!! (mesh from front panel and io)
While that was drying i decided to start on the chassis. First off cut the fan hole. (used some tin snips, worked quite well)
Remove the back/top panel so i can paint the chassis and panel separately.
The Mesh is now dry!
I then gave the front a spray and let it dry while helping the sister with her assignments.
(sorry no pics)
Then i put it together

(also painted the card reader, forgot to take pics)
Lookin badass!
Started the Chassis paint.
To be continued.........
