The reason you can't hear your asus is because the temps aren't high enough yet. Wait till that thing hits about 73-75c. The fans go completely nuts after that.

running full gaming load or OOCT I have yet to hit above 68c.

I'd agree with this statement, mine isn't loud in the least bit.Runs cool and I've been able to get it up to 1000MHz core clock at 1.050 vcore so far.Temps don't go above 66 (testing Furmark).

EDIT: I've how ever ran the fans at 70% to 80% just to see how loud it can be.And there is considerably more noise, mind you that as of now my setup is open air.But with the fan set on auto at 1000MHz I could hardly hear it,even when testing. And I don't think gaming will push the card like Furmark does so...

at this point im leaning toward an EVGA 560 ti oC just cause i think thats the only one my local store has in stock besides ... maybe a MSI 560 ti @ 880mhz non-hawk they said they might have but thats about it. Or i wait 3-6 days and get me a real hawk from newegg.

I have the evga versions and they're pretty good but if I had it to do over again I'd go with the MSI's...

What are your ambient temps? I think mine reached the mid 70's while folding, have you tried that?

Either way though, as long as you keep the temps below 70c on the asus, it should be fine. But like I said, any hotter than that(summer ambient temps), the card will turn into a screamer.

yeah will probably go EVGA. If it's all they got in stock locally. But if they got that Hawk ill snag it. As Long as the EVGA one will be reliable at advertised Speeds I think ill be okay rockin the 900mhz for awhile. Plus its my first real graphics card had ****ty ati one in imac and now just rockin internal 4250Ati on my Asus board. Doesn't do to much at all. So anything upgrade wise is going to be 360 degree turn for me

eVGA is a rock solid card company. hopefully you don't get a bad card.
