New Build Temp issues

Thread Starter
I just built my computer up and here are the specs:

CoolerMaster Haf 912 Case
stock rear fan, 200mm Top Fan, Stock Front Fan
CoolerMaster V6 Cooler

when I load the comp up and go into bios it says the cpu is running 65+ degrees celcius

isn't that very hot for idle?

only thing I can think of is maybe I have the fan up top installed backwards? cause I would want that to be an exhaust fan right?

lmk

I could really use the help

thanks,
Jayson

P.S. I used thermal paste and everything when assembling the cpu

Yes, it is hot!

How did you apply the thermal paste?

Is the V6's fan spinning?

I'd guess that you do want the top fan installed as an exhaust fan although I couldn't imagine it would make that much difference!

Application sounds okay.

I can't read the numbers from your pasted image. Pixilated with I zoom in to see it!

Is the CPU coolers fan spinning?

Depending on your stressed CPU temps, that doesn't sound too bad.

What's the temp of your room?

Run Prime95 and monitor the max temps.

that seams a little hot lol try re seating your cooler
post #8 of 22
You should have gotten a different cooler, the V6 costs way to much for what you could have gotten at the price performance wise, but like others said re-seat the cooler.

i would try small pea sized dot of paste in the middle and let the pressure of the cooler do the work.
