[WCCF]AMD Bulldozer (Zambezi-FX) Specifications Leaked by Asus - Page 2

125w for the octocore and is around 3.8.
95w for both the hexa, quad and the 3.6ghz octocore.

I smell something like 4.2ghz for the quaddie and 4ghz for the hexa

So.... no one is questioning the validity of these numbers?

Quote:
The second graph from Asus. Although both have been deliberately erased the frequency, but powerful friends or through other means to enlarge the basic recognition, the most high-end eight-core FX-8130P of the original frequencies as high as 3.8GHz, Turbo Core Dynamic acceleration is a staggering 4.2GHz, another piece of eight-core FX-8110 also has 3.6/4.0GHz.

8 Cores for £250 you say? Would these be compatible with a dual socket board, or would you need an Opteron core for that?

Wow. Nice stock and turbo clocks indeed. They better have some overclocking headroom as well. I'd rage if these clocks speeds are pretty much maximum bulldozer can do. they might have done so in order to compete with sandy bridge. i hope that's not the case.

That's what crossed my mind. Maybe these chips have been upped a little.

Like SB these chips are of 32nm design, so higher base clocks were inevitable, so I'm hoping there will be overclocking potential still. I don't see why not but even at 4.2ghz... I'll be quite happy @ stock for a while

BE Thubans do 4.2 on air without breaking into a sweat.

Why would they? Whether they're totally accurate or not is irrelevent.

1. @ 32nm you expect faster clocks than Phenom II.
2. Current Phenom II's @ 45nm are clocked at 3.7Ghz stock.
3. Thuban will do 4.2Ghz Turbo on stock vcore.

The only surprise would be if BD was clocked under 3Ghz.

Can't turbocore clock higher if it stays withing the TDP? I cannot put my finger on it but the was a thread about turbocore clocking higher than 500mhz on less than all cores running? I guess that a 400mhz bump on all running cores into 4.2ghz territory is really good, I cannot imagine what it clocks up to on less than 8 cores....
