I'd say that's a pretty good guess.

Can't wait for the official release and benches. I'm sure they will be close to sandy either under or over. I'm completely satisfied with my 2600k and don't plan on upgrading for a good 4 years at least.

Call me an Intel fanboy, but I am not impressed until I see actual tests done.

Intel has beaten AMD in recent years in terms of quality of core. Who cares if there are 4.2GHz 8-core CPUs coming out if Intel's 4 or 6-core chips will still beat them in benchmarks? (Not to mention 22nm Ivy Bridge with 3D transitors coming out within a year).

You all should learn to not get your hopes up all because you see 8-cores and 4+ GHz being posted.

Until there are benchmarks from reputable sites, guys from both camps should keep quiet.

Hopefully I will get a MO-RA3 loop by the end of the summer with an 8-Core BD and a 6950.
5.0Ghz? 8 Cores? Stable 24/7? DO WANT.

Well why even have forums to begin with then? What's the point of a rumors section? Anytime somebody expresses an opinion around here somebody gets upset and some mod comes along and erases everybody's posts.

I love the build up to BD, who cares if there is no solid benchmarks, it's all part of the fun and it's all part of the discussion.

Who cares if 1 person says 'this means BD will woop SB's arse' or if another person says 'BD will never beat Sandy because these tests are all fake', no point getting serious over it. We will all see when Bulldozer is released, and we will see how it performs against Sandy Bridge. Either way BOTH parties win, it's not all about core vs core performance, it's also about bang for buck.

I agree. My point is why not let the discussion go without erasing posts? If we're all supposed to agree with each other than what's the point of even coming here?

Yes, your fanboyism is noted.

However you do have a point about seeing the actual tests done on reputable websites before we can comment.
