Same Although there is a chance that the Opterons will be clocked quite a bit lower. I think AMD aims to have the best performance-per-watt in that market segment. If they do have high clocked Opterons though you can expect to pay a HUGE premium on them.

For example:
AMD Opteron 6128 (8-Core @ 2GHz) - $270
AMD Opteron 6134 (8-Core @ 2.3GHz) - $550

More than double the price for .3GHz increase in clock speed

There used to be 1055T 95w CPUs, but I don't know why they stopped making them.

You can still find them, I think they still produce them for OEMS, too.

Very serious. Most AMD chips would be Athlon II, low end Phenom II X4 - and how often do those get to 4.2Ghz without any subzero cooling?

Phenom II x6 and x4 980 etc probably represent a small part of AMD sales.( don't have any hard evidence, using logic here)

I never said that it's impossible.

But that's not the point, 8cores@4.2Ghz on stock cooling is very impressive non the less.
