is 1.520V safe for my CPU? - Page 3

While the clock rate isn't great, the voltage is fine. You are within specs on voltage.

You should still be able to see CPU temps in HWmon, make sure those stay below 62C and you will be fine.

Grats on the free performance boost smile.gif

Careful with the mosfets on that board, make sure you have a fan on the heat sink for them.

Yeah I goggled it, its still a 4+1 phase design, all I'm saying is make sure you have some decent airflow over that cooler. You've unlocked your chip to at least 130 TDP, and since its defective and requires a lot of voltage its probably putting a lot of stress on your mosfets.

Edit: What I'm trying to say is at this point I'd be more worried about my board than my cpu if I was in your situation.

well my MoBo says its supports up to 160 watts with an overclock plus i hive like 12 fans in my case so it gets plenty of airflow i touch it every now and then and it has never been warm before unless its a hot day.

also im buying a new motherboard in a few weeks anyway so i dont care if i fry it lol.
