Death of sigrig. Pl help - Page 2

generally you take the jumper to the far right and center pins then turn it on... take the pin completely off and turn it on then put it back to normal and turn it on

i found instructions that say to unplug power, move the jumper for 5 - 10 secs then move it back then plug back in and turn on. No go....

Once your computer uses an Nvidia card, it doesn't wanna go back.

Did you try this?

Plus, have you tested if the computer works with the 260?

haha i tried putting the 260 back and no luck.

also, said fan control cable would have been something of his, i cant find such a thing on the board itself...

That's weird.

I know it sounds simple, but re-check ALL cables one by one, make sure they're in tightly and properly. Make sure your PSU has the on switch on the back, in case you turned it off, and forgot.

Got any buddies with a 775 rig maybe? So you can test out components to rule out the culprit.

Keep troubleshooting. Good luck!

I just cant get a beep code or any activity out of it no matter what i try, I think its safe to assume the mobo has crapped itself .

Anyone know much about ASUS RMA in Australia?? haha

Unplug system. Wait a minute for all power to drain from mb.
Remove jumper from pins 1&2 and slip it on 2&3. A few seconds is good enough . Now just put it back to pins 1&2. That should do the trick.

Edit: Sorry..slow typer. Installing the HD6950 can be a pretty tight squeeze with RAM slots. Re-seat RAM and check all connections that may have been bumped. Including the main ATX cable.
