5850 Crossfire issue

Thread Starter
Hello all, So a few days ago I got my second Sapphire HD 5850. I connected everything up, attached the crossfire cable, and enabled Crossfire in CCC. The issue is, I never see this card being used, and it's not letting me tweak the settings or adjust fan speeds. I've read through the "how to" set it up, and I can't figure out why it's not working all the time.

I also like using MSI afterburner. And it's not letting me adjust the second card, nor does it sync the settings to the same cards like it's suppose to.

Running Corshair 850 watt PSU
AMD 965 BE overclocked 3.8ghz
8GB DDR2 1066 G.skill
Windows 7 64

Any help would be awesome!

Did you download the crossfire profiles for games yet? Also, you may have to completely remove all of the previous drivers then reinstall the new ones. Try using driver sweeper to help clean them up.

Ah, was unaware of this profile thing.

Shutdown, switch off PSU, wait a few minutes, switch it back on, turn on PC, try again.

Just do it.

I downloaded that profile, but I really can't figure out how to use it, Does it just auto detect, or do I need to somehow activate the profiles?

Just install it then reboot and thats it. Once you reboot and start up a game you should be golden. Enjoy your epic fps
