New OC, Are my temps ok?

Thread Starter
I was wondering if my temps are ok with this...

i OCed my Phenom II 805 x4 from 2.5Ghz > 3.67Ghz

i had to raise the Core V. to 1.5 volts exactly.

HT link, NB Freq, Dram speeds are stock but i'm thinking of raising the NB+ht 200mhz.

NB Voltage is raised +0.10 from stock.

Running Prime 95 stable for 20 minutes on all cores 100% between 53~56 C but mostly 53.

Those temps are fine, but I am sure someone more knowledgeable with AMD will have something to say about your NB frequency, think it should be locked at 2000 but not sure.

As a rule of thumb never go over 70degrees with any processor unless you are sure it can handle it. 60 degrees is pushing it to be honest, only because it is close to 70, not because it is dangerous to run that hot though.

Raise you Nb to 2.6-2.8ghz. The temps will probably reach around 60C though, to get to 2.8ghz it takes me around 1.25V CPU/NB Voltage for clarification.

Also because Max temp for Phenoms are 62C!

I had an old Compaq Presario with a Single core Celeron 3.ghz. Towards the end of the desktop's lifespan, it would constantly reach 85-95C LOL

It died when the giant fan I used to cool it down fell on it one day. This was prior to me knowing how to build pcs.

Then I had a Laptop that a cousin gave to me cause it overheated and shuts down. was a Core2Duo

It reached 98C on heavy load. But that was ONLY in Windows. I used Ubuntu on that laptop a lot cause Linux would have it at a normal 55C

Very strange laptop. Didn't know the OS affected cpu temps lol

Well I had a stability problem (Maybe) after going to 3.75 Ghz, [page fault in nonpaged area] BSOD right after I selected to Reboot.

A few more questions...When I OC the FSB does it also OC the PCI-E, PCI, Harddrives etc?

My mobo has a PCI-E Reference clock which I think is a lock...

To make it Stable I will leave it at 3.65 or 3.7 Ghz, Here's my Settings.

FSB 335 Mhz
CPU 1.5 V
Multi of 11 x 2200
NB 1200 OC Raises to 2000
HTT 1200 OC Raises to 2000
I'm Using a CM N520 Cooler with dual 2.85 k RPM Fans on push > pull out the rear fan.

I put the NB voltage back to stock atm.

Also, my Multiplier is partially locked cuz I don't have a Black Editon.

You should try to get that NB higher.

probly will OC the NB, I have a small fan on the stock NB HS. it rotates around 2-3k rpm and I can touch the NB HS without burning myself

Well so far this is what I got.

I'm using it without the Case side open, may open it.
328 Mhz FSB with a Multiplier of x11
3.6 Ghz Cpu with + 0.30V coming from 1.200V
2.3 Ghz NorthBridge with +0.10V
Stock Ram speed, Timings
Stock HTT Link

Atm Testing with P95 on all cores 100%, it's sticking around ~60C.

A Phenom II max temp is 71C and I don't have any programs that can use all 4 cores at 100% so I think il be ok...
