Just save up and get a deck, they're the best backlight out there, if you'd prefer something with cherry browns, or blues Xarmour makes some too.

a nice comparison:

It still amazes me though how many people NEED back lighting if they're gaming at night, I just guess I'm way to used to my Das. ( all keys are blank )

Please dont be ignorant, I must have said about 3 times now that my budget is £35...so you go and post a £100 keyboard.

^ I can actually understand it more for gaming that for typing at night, gaming isn't usually a static position and some of those games have you using the brackets *coughthiefcough* and that's better just to look down.

Not everyone is as insane as us mechanical owner =P, I would go sidewinder or one of the newer Saitek keyboards, the v1 and v3 are pretty cheap.

That's what I though when my dell keyboard died ( old style mech ), I went down to best buy, bought the cheapest keyboard to get my by 'till I could afford something better. I bought a das a month later, It's N-key rollover is really nice, and since I never looked at the keys anyways It really didn't bother me that it was blank.

Now if you're looking for a cheap keyboard that will last you a while, although not backlit you can get an old Model M, and it won't break on you. If you don't like my suggestions that's fine, I can take it.
