Wireless gaming mouse choices - Page 2

I vote for the MS X8 cause I love mine. Works wired or wireless, is quick to charge, and last long. It is better built then the economy line of MS mouses.

Anyways, I have a G700 and I like it. I had a G5 for 5 years, so the move wasn't too drastic. It's very heavy, but I like the weight, I feel it's easier to control. Can't go wrong with 13 buttons either. I cannot live without all the buttons for web browsing; I have 3 set to cut/copy/paste, another for reload, one for new tab, one for close tab, one for minimize, one for home.. it's amazing.

If you go with the G700, do yourself a favor and buy a 2 battery Eneloop charger + 2 extra batteries. It'll probably run you ~10 on amazon. It will save you the hassle of charging with the cord, and give you extra batteries when the one gets low. I get about 2 days of heavy use on a full charge.

ah but u see you failed to read, u didnt read all the way through he clearly states:

"so if the likes of Mamba and Rat 9 have a really big difference that is worth it between the cheaper alternatives listed above than I am willing to take a look."

i was saying its definitely worth it to take a look

The Rat 7/9 have a whole slew of problems that many on OCN have posted here about. I wouldn't consider this a quality mouse worth $130. I've tried the Rat 7 personally and didn't care for it one bit. Especially the annoying rear pin that jabs my palm.

Right, I have the Mamba and I dont have any issues with whatever surface I use it with. No difference from the DA 3.0 and 3.5

Although in paper things look a bit different.

Haha, I have indeed been owned. I'll use tiredness as an excuse.

However, my point still stands. The Rat 7 is trash, and the Rat 9 is just the wireless version of it. I had a Mamba for a month, and had constant issues. Everything from the drivers locking up in the IO, random lag in wireless mode, randomly waking computer from sleep, failing to wake computer from sleep, strange jitters, and more. Razer's support and quality is known for being god awful, and that's what I experienced with them.

I looked at the Kova too, but it was too small for me, not to mention they don't have very good North American support. On the same token, the X8 was too big for me - I tried it out in a store. If you have small hands, probably not the best option for you.

The reason I always seem to gravitate towards Logitech is their superior quality, product longevity and good customer service.

Sounds like an ad for them.. but it's the truth.

I have to say I was floored when I looked at the features and level of customization on the Rat 9 in addition to it looks which I already couldn't help but admire it for being so different.

Though as Backfat mentioned I have been going through reviews and they do by the looks of it have some serious issues for such an investment I want it but it feels like a risk. Going through the Cyborg R.A.T club as I speak.

G700 at the moment is probably the obvious and safest option to go for. I haven't decided but I think I've narrowed it down to those two and the X8.

Hah, logicrap products feel cheap and are sub-par on quality, just look at their speakers. I've never dealt with their customer support so i can't say anything about that, but all of the logitech stuff that I've used has been bad so I've replaced it all.

The reason the X8 is on sale is because they are discontinuing the sidewinder brand. So your pretty much getting a 80~90$ mouse for around 50$.

I have an X5 which has the same shape and I love it, their not any cheaper then you would get with a Razer or Logitech mouse.

The X8 also has a detachable cord for charging while playing so you never have to change the battery or take a break from playing.

Get the X8 and spend the difference on a quality hard mouse pad.

I fully respect your opinion and everyone goes through a different experience with every company.

I have to say for me, my own personal experience with all the logitech products I've owned so far have been top-notch & reliable they are usually the first I look at when browsing for peripherals(doesn't mean I always go for them but I always see what they have to offer). That is how much respect they have gained from me and they usually have a targeted range of products for every market section.
