I would buy the 5830 for a budget video card. Its a bit better for cheaper especially when you overclock it.

He has an HDD and CD/DVD drives are way outdated. I got a case that he can use.

IDK if it's the case with anyone else, but I don't use CD/DVD drives anymore. Only to make burn discs of Linux OS's for use so I don't have to reformat my USB drives. All my games are downloaded through Steam. CD's are obsolete

1 4GB stick in single channel is going to bottleneck this game...
My recommendation goes to a 2x2GB kit such as the HyperX Blu

Get this CPU + board combo. Better board for lower cost.
