I'd potentially look for alternatives to the 480 for the same price. I know it performs very well but it also gets very hot. I'm not sure where you're shopping from, so it's difficult to recommend alternatives.

When looking at an alienware, is your girlfriend bothered about the looks? If so, may I recommend:
The Lexa S from NZXT.

It's got a lot of the similarities to an Alienware case in design and gets good reviews from a lot of sites:

Hardware secrets

It might not be quite as roomy as the HAF you've picked out, but if what we're looking for is looks (as it often is with Alienware), I think that this one is more in keeping with their theme.

Also, I'm not saying the HAF-X is bad. It's blatantly not.

It has nine expansion slots to cater for E-ATX and such, usb3 on the front and a generally better build quality than the Lexa S. I think it's also pricier.

But its huge...the OP DOES NOT need such a large case, hell, a HAF 912+ will be fine.

To the OP (Stileth).

I'd wait until Bulldozer is released next month, it's just a couple of weeks away from releasing, I think it's better to wait, and then decide.

Cheers,
kcuestag.

for that price you should go with something like this [bear in mind the price is american, so just find each part on whatever equivalent European store you can]: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/ar/azo

you could drop down to a 2500k to save cash if you don't do a lot of stuff with multitasking, and use that cash to get a high end silent air cooler or something along those lines.
1400 hundy American holy hell i could a do a 1 off custom with a custom air brush paint job and all high end parts.

Thread Starter
Thx guys. The build was suggested by one of you, so feel free to improve it. I wasn't considering buying Alienware cause I thought it's overpriced, so that's why I have started this thread to get help from you what best I can get for 1049 Euro they are asking for their cheapest model.
I am in Spain, so I am limited to the shops which are here, so no Newegg and so on which would be great to shop there due to good prices, but sadly I can't.
Regarding the case.. I have special holder for it mounted to table and the base is 23cm wide, so the case must fit there and I think the cheaper HAF series are too much wide for this.
I know Bulldozer should be out anytime soon just my current rig have problem described here, so I am little bit under pressure to make a new rig.
I will be shopping from here: http://www.pccomponentes.com , so you can check it and although it's in spanish I am sure you will understand how to navigate through all sections. They don't have all the things you might suggest, but it will help you guys to know what I can buy and what not. Hope that helps.
Thx to all who contributed so far.

Have a look at the following build I just made for you;

http://www.pccomponentes.com/presupu...daptador_red=0

It's a well balanced build with high-end stuff.

I know you don't need a 750W Power Supply, but it's better to be future-proof than sorry in a future, in case you ever have the idea of adding a 2nd Graphic card.
